40 x actions

does a 40 xb on a used bench gun get trued up so the barrel is straight to the center line of the action and what would the cost be in general?
I am under the asumtion that any one building on a 40 x will do this.

Your assumption is correct....... prices vary according to how much work you want/need done...for an actual blueprinted action...receiver face cut-threads made concentric-bolts lugs cut...all aligned to bolt raceway..... 200$........... now lotsa folks just square the receiver face.....which when done correctly should be set up with bolt raceway aligned.And some folks just chuck up the receiver and cut away....
