Will I have any extraction problems using a standard Remington 700/7 bolt for .473 case head, when rebarelling to 35 remington, a .457 case head?

thanks

bguin, did one a few year's ago on a 700 no problem at all it was originally a 6mm. Bill.

I bought an XP100 years ago, factory 35 Remington. I pulled the barrel and made it into a 22BR, never had any problems. Is all 35 Rem. brass oversize?

If it is the riveted extractor and the rivet is tight, it is surprising how far you can bend the extractor toward the center of the bolt face. I drill an extremely small hole through the side of the bolt just behind the "center" of where the extractor is... and push the extractor until I can hook a small screwdriver tip and assist in bending it a little... a little is the key word as you can not easily bend it back to where it was. I do this on some "weak" extractors you see rather rarely and it works well.

I am sure you could do this if the 35 Remington extractor fit is "weak"
