Hopefully someone will post the final results. I had to leave shortly after shooting at the 500 yard egg. My shooting partner, Ron Hubbard and I had to travel a considerable distance east from the shoot to pick up some machine shop supplies before we headed home and we had already been up since about 2AM.

At last count, there were only about 4-5 who broke the egg this year out of a great turnout of about 200 entrants. As to the groundhog score my friend Terry Brady was one of the top shooters as was the Johnson City Ledford family of shooters.

Many thanks to Larry Willis and his crew for a flawless and, due to moderate windy conditions, a challenging shoot. For example. at 300 yards I had to hold about 3 1/2" upwind to hit the main target area. At 500 yards I was off the paper!!

Oh, and to Maggie (Larrys Mom) Happy Birthday this coming Tuesday.

This is an older report but the Hickory shoot is still like this http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2010/03/hickory-ground-hog-shoot/
