Anyone with a good ballistic program care to project what
Kind of performance is possible using Sierra's 300 gr match bullet
in a 26 in barrel. I have nothing that would cover it.

for internal balistics i would need the case and load info but if you are speaking of external balistics by quickload comparison the 338 sierra has about .5 moa less windrift at 1000yds then a 30 cal 240 sierra which to me are king of the windbucking bullets.but have never had the honor of shooting a 338. hope this helps sir. tim in tx

Quickload shows about 2500 fps with powers like H4831SC, IMR7828SC, H4350, and RL22 at max pressure. This assumes 338 Win Mag as in your subject line.
