Hi I have a Rem 700 LA in 300 wsm in a ACIS 1.5 stock with a 300 wm magazine AI and I am having problems feeding, , is there a better mag to work with the LA or can I mod the 300wm to feed right? Thanks a lot. If I cant get it to work I was thinking of chambering to 300 RUM but was hoping to avoid the Recoil. The 300wm is a single stack feeder

I am having trouble feeding the short round in a long action magazine.;)

The 300 WSM case dia is close to the 338 lapua then the 300 win mag. you are better off looking at getting the 338 lapua mag for the 300WSM.

If I understand it correctly, he has an Accuracy International magazine intended for use with 300 Win Mag. They have width reducing ribs formed into the magazine which make it difficult to adapt to the fat cartridges. It is probably possible to block the magazine shorter and modify the lips to get it to work, but not many smiths like to take on that kind of job.

It came with the 300 wm and they wont fit in , it will hold one but it nose dives , I am thinking on the 338 lapua one but was hoping some on has been here before I buy one .;)

Not sure about the 300 wsm. But I run a 7mm RSAUM in a long action and Ashbury Precision Ordnance chassis. I use 338 Lapua mags shorten the follower 1/4" and glue in a spacer. On some actions the feed lips need shortened about 1/8". Never could get the 300 WM mags to work.

Thanks for the info I will end up selling the 300 wm magazine and trying the 338 version . :)
