338 Lapua Magnum Improved or 300 WSM for 600/1000 bench rest

Hey all, I am building a heavy gun for 600/1000 yard bench rest and I am trying to decide between the 338 Lapua Magum Improved or 300 WSM cartridge. I want to know what one you guys think would be the better overall choice. With the new Lapua 300grn Scenars, with a .810 BC, and Hornady and Berger comming out with there own 338 bullets, the 338 seems like it could be pretty awesome for long range bench rest. I would like to get your opinions on this subject.

In all your recent posts, you seem to be under the impression that all bullets are created equal. I do not mean the numbers, BC, whatever. I mean the accuracy, day in and day out, over varying lots. You also seem to be under the impression that any barrel will digest all bullets with equal accuracy.

My experience has been that neither of these is true.
