Hello All,
I've been watching this forum for some time and decided it was time to jump in. I recently re-barreled my Win 70 from 300 H&H to 300 Ackley. PAC-NOR did the barrel and action work on the installation. The barrel in a 26" 1-10 with a #5 sporter profile. This is just a hunting rig but hoping it will be a good shooter. I'm planning on using 180-200gr Nosler Accubond as they have worked well in 300 H&H. So far, I have just been playing with forming brass and sending some rounds down the tube to break it in. Been using my previous WW and Hornady 300 H&H brass, GM215M, IMR4831, some left over 165's and 300 WBY load info. I have purchased some RE25 for when I start loading the heaver bullets and getting serious about working up some loads. I recently got and formed some RWS 375 H&H brass but have yet to do any loading with them. Also have some Norma 375 H&H brass on the way to try as well.

I would like some input from you Ackley shooters on what has worked well for you. I'm new to the Ackley so any/all advice is appreciated. I'm also new to forming brass from one size to another. I have listed the steps I used on the RWS brass. Please let me know if there is a better way to do it. Any loading information would also be helpful.

1. Anneal brass
2. Lube and rub through 300 H&H forming die
3. Lube and run through 300 H&H fl die body with no expander
4. Clean and prime brass
5. Fire form using COW method
6. Inside neck ream to remove donut
7. Full length resize
8. Turn neck to remove high spots (Forster trimmer)
9. Trim to final length
10. Clean and prime
