30 BR question

Ive been contemplating building a 30 BR for something new to play with..

My question is why not a 30 BR improved :confused:
has anybody tried this?? I'm looking to shoot some score
& 600 yard matches and i do believe this might work for both..

Or maybe even a 30 Dasher :D

No need....

IMHO - The 30BR does not need to be improved and if you what to shoot heavy (125 to to 140gn) bullets just user what the VH use (30X44 or 30X47laupa).

Would save you alot in forming case time and trouble.

The 30 BR that I use for my own personal use is an improved version. It has a 35 degree shoulder, .328 neck diameter, slightly bigger body and longer throat. It shoots well and will launch a 125 gr. bullet at 3050 fps. Is it needed? Not really.

I also have a 30 x 47 using the same reamer that is showing real promise. It will move a 134 gr bullet at 3150 with H322 powder. Only problem, recoil!!!
