I am thinking of building a 30 BR on a short barreled action (20"), 40X action.Does anyone have information and loading particulars on this cartridge?? Thanks

Yes,
I do not understand the desire to do a 20" Barrel , I mostly shoot 23-1/2 to 24" because it allows me to set barrel back a full chamber length after 3 or 4 thousand rounds. . This has worked very well for me a couple of times. One reason for a 20" barrel might be to go LV but in a 30BR Score rifle 10.5 lb does not offer much except possibility to set LV Score records.
Another possible scenario is if someone is giving you an old barrel and you are cutting off chamber hence the short length. This is only a sensible route if you have one or both of the following conditions.
a. You are not paying someone to do the work or at least not full price..
b. It is known to be an exceptional barrel.

What is its intended purpose? Are you cutting it short to put a can in front?
