I'm going to order another 264 win mag reamer for the shop, I'm looking to have this one setup for the Berger 140 gr hunting VLD. Has anyone experimented with the leade and throat for what shoots best for that bullet. I'm thinking about just have a reamer ground with 0 freebore and then using a throater to try different throat lengths. Any thoughts?

Boe,
I have a pt&g reamer that has leade and throat that suits 120 & 129gr bullits real well. The 264 with 129 gr hornady's is deadly on elk.I have a throater for when I want longer 140's

You can't shorten a throat cut with a long throated chambering reamer but you can always throat it longer... For myself - I always order reamers with a short throat...
