.260 Rem Tactical reamer

I am currently to order à Benchmark Barrel chambered with that specific .260 Rem Tactical reamer with only 0.065" of freebore in order to load with longer bullets (Berger 140 grains VLD, Lapua Scenar 139 grains and Hornady ELR X 143 grains) at magazine lenght.

Did you encounter any kind of problems with pressure by seating the longer bullets so deep into the casings? I am wondering since looking on the web, I understand that the base of the bullet bearing wall shouldn't be seated lower than the neck and shoulder jonction. I already know that I will lose some case capacity but I'm not too worried about that.

I will also get rid of the throat donuts with a K&M inside neck carbide cutter so it's one less thing to worry about.

Your answers about my pressure problems/concerns will be greatly apreciated.
 
.115 sits a 130hybrid .040 above the donut and still fits in an AI mag. This is what i use for PRS shooters who use a 260comp match. It all fits together perfectly. Youll need around a .180fb for the regular vld bullets like a 142smk. Thats .030 above the donut. So if you go any shorter itll be inside the case.

Ok but my mags are made by MDT and the max OAL is 2,800" plus a 0.010" space for proper feeding. With 0.180fb I will never be able to fit them in these mags...more info's

What's the OAL of your cartridge with the 130 Hybrids and 142 SMK's?

Are you loading with the bullets touching the lands or jumping the bullets and by how many thousands of an inch?
 
Since every combo shoots at different jumps and jams thats all gonna be up to you. All i do is put em together and make em work- im sure not a 260 man! Go to the accurate shooter forum and send a pm to a cat named dosxx- he can talk theory with you and give you all those lengths as he knows em all off the top of his head what bullets go where in what mags with what freebore
