FWIW, factory Remington ammo will fit in my .294 nk chamber without a problem.

The reason 260 neck diameter is a big deal to ME, is that I have thousands of pieces of 308 brass lying around.
At this time I have given up on 308 brass.
243, 260, and 7mm08 may be ok, but too many problems with 308 brass.
