2500 target...

Here's the 2500 that Scotty shot yesterday at Cern's...

my god big g!! i hope he stay away from buckcreek!!!! really hat's amazing!! did jackie put the rifle together? he's put together some great shooting rifles and no matter if calfee put it together or me, a 2500 is something to be damned proud of!!!!!

I wouldn't send that in. You've got a couple of 50's and a 25 on the sighters! All kidding aside, great target! Too bad they're not counting X's.
 
Any chance all the shots touched the center dot? (X)
If they did then that would have been the 1st 250 25X ever shot in a match if it had been a RBA or IR50/50 match.

In regards to what Doug said... I believe that eventually ARA will have to incorporate dot counting in some of the tournaments where more than one 2500 target is shot.. It won't be needed except on the 2500 targets because of the "first miss" rule, but if there should happen to be three 2500's shot on target 3 of a five target match, how would the target winner be determined..?? Overall match winner would still be determined in the current configuration, but what about the target winner..?? I know that 2500's do not get shot that often, but someday it will happen..

Just my inquisitive mind working...

No thanks.. ARA needs to stay worst edge scoring.. It is the best game going...

I would have to stick with worst edge as everyone that is shooting 2000+ scores on a target now will be shooting 2500 with best edge. It takes all the fun out of the sport if it goes best edge.

You won't live long enough to see the ARA use best edge scoring. If you don't like it start your own matches. Find some else to gripe about and leave ARA alone . We don't tell you how to run your game why do you feel like you should tell us how to score our targets? I don't mean to sound harsh but we really don't CARE what you think.

Dave, just about everyone who shot BR-50 feels this way. Br-50 International was the first rimfire benchrest association and all of us who shot it liked it. We saw no reason to change when we started ARA. Still don't.
 
Congrats Scotty!!!!!! Did you feel like you was going to pass out after the last shot??

James take it easy old timer your going to blow another gasket:D We dont need you in the hosiptal again.
 
2500 target

Thats one great looking target and some great shooting
