I have a reamer, brass and dies for a 243 WSSM but I am wondering if anyone is shooting it with any success. I was going to shoot Berger 105 VLD's out of whatever barrel I had chambered. My decision on the neck diameter of the reamer was a bit arbitrary and I selected .281" for the chamber, which puts me around a .278" neck turn diameter for a loaded round. Now I am wondering if I should have taken the neck of the reamer further down. With new brass I could manage one pass with the neck turner and go down to .278" but it seemed if I had to go down much more, I would have to do the necks with two turn downs. Factory brass loaded measures around .283" at the mouth and about .286" at the junction of the neck and shoulder - pretty thick stuff.
Anyone have any input or comments on the 243 WSSM and its accuracy, neck diameter, etc. would be appreciated.
