With a remington short action, hart bbl and no turn brass (norma) what would the difference in dies be using standared f/l redding dies compared to the comp. f/l dies with a bushing do for this gun which will be used for casual benchrest and some local competition. thanks jr

I'm just a newbie, but the f/l die will have an expander "button" that will possibly detract from concentricity; the neck sizing section at the top of the die will squeeze the neck down well below where you could seat....I tried taking out the center pin but then couldn't even get the brass to go into a collet Lee neck sizer....so I broke down and ordered a f/l bushing based die. I got a Harrel on advice from several. I do not yet have bushings for it, so would basically use it to adjust headspace and fix web issues.

What the accuracy change is, I have no idea. For what the Harrel cost ($70) I wish I had not bought the reddiong f/l die (I have no further use for it, now....).
