It Depends...
As is usual, what works best varies on the rifle and the shooter.
In the Lyman Reloading Handbook 49th edition, they got the best results with a compressed load of 14 gr. of Accurate 1680 powder, Sierra JSP #1200 40 gr. bullets, Winchester brass and Wolf small rifle primers.
That, however may mean nothing for your rifle. If your rifle was manufactured before WW II it may even need .223 diameter bullets, rather than .224 diameter as is standard today.
I think anyone here would suggest you buy a good reloading handbook and try the different powders, loads and bullets the book recommends until you find what works best for you and your rifle.
