223 Bolt Head to PPC

How involved is having a .223 Savage bolt head opened to PPC? What instructions does one's local gunsmith need? Is changing back and forth to a different bolt head pretty simple?

Also, what action wrench works for the model 10 and 112?

Fred also makes an extended extractor that allows you to use a 308 bolt head. I have been using one with perfect results with a 6Beggs.

The extended extractor works, at least it does on some of Stillers Viper actions. I have one that has been shot a lot with the 6ppc. That same rifle now has a 30BR barrel on it. The extractor works just fine with both bolt heads. However going from a .223 bolt head to a 308 is a bit of a bigger jump. But Fred is the Savage man. If anyone can make it work he can.
