What is the groups size held by the .222 Remington?

What were the load specs grains brass bullet weight velocity for this record?

What were the rifle specs barrel diameter length twist rifle stock type and weight trigger pull scope power etc.

In other words the equipment list and load spec for the .222 remington
Record setting group that still hasn't been beat by the 6ppcs?

I don't know the load for that particular event, but Mike Walker suggested IMR 4198 with 50 or 52 grain bullets, and IMR 4895 with 55 grain bullets back in the day.

Better go back a million years, Not realy But Pat McMillian"s record Lasted a very long time May still stand!!!!!! used a 222 Tight neck with his Barrel Remington 700 Act. 60 Power converted scope Believe his 52GR Bullets from Detch Dies. Both Pat and Gale contributed so much to bench rest. They are both missed very much (Gale was the instrument into Fiberglass stocks)Brother. Pat Built the very finest Barrels any one could buy.they still hold many Records. Richard Peoble

Mr. peoble,

The subject of smallest group size and the associated equipment used to set it was covered on here in quite a long post, this all occurred a few months back. Your "facts" are in error concerning the action and scope used, as far as the bullets - I do not remember if that was covered or not , you may want to do a search and find the post to correct your misassumption of equipment that Mr. McMillan used to set his record. And yes, it still stands - it is listed from a link at the home page of this site.

Thanks for the correction on equiptment list I was trying to do this from 35+ years memory. You try That. What DAY Is This!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????HaHa!
