222 rem and 223 rem diff bolt face?

do they share the same bolt face? I am buying a rifle in 222 rem. would I rebarrel it to 223 rem or 223 ai in the future without altering the bolt?

The bolt face is same but if you are altering a rifle with magazine you probably won't be able to get a 223 into the 222 magazine. You probably will have to use the conversion as a single shot.

I am getting a tikka t3 stainless varmint in 222 rem.

Like pacecil says if you rebarrel to .223 and want to use the magazine it could be a problem unless you can use .223 magazines. I'd check on that (with Tikka) before going forward if it's not too late....

thanks, tikka 222, 223 and 204 use same mag. so I guess that shouldn't be a problem.
