I'm just getting started into chambering my own rifle barrels and have only used reamers for rebated rim calibers. I have a friend that wants some work done on his Remington 700 chambered in .220 Swift and was wondering that since this caliber is a semi-rimmed one is there anything different that has to be done to the chamber because of the rim or is it just a difference in the bolt head and or the extractor?

No nothing else needs to be done. One must be careful when loading the magazine as not to get the rim of the cartridge on top behind the rim of the cartidge below .If you do it will not feed as the bottom rim holds the top cartidge from being pushed forward into the chamber.

GREAT OLD CARTRIDGE .STILL A HOT ROD THAT SPEED FREAKS TRY TO DE-THRONE .
