22 Dasher

I know this has probally been asked before but I can"t seem to find it in the archives. I need some good loads/starting for the 22 Dasher with a 14" twist.
I believe Varget,H4895,R/15,2420 should work. I prefer the 50-55 grain bullets and I figure the barrel will to.
Thanx,
Jim

I have been shooting this weekend. So far I have shot 23 3 shot groups with a .306 ave.I also shot 7 5 shot groups and their average is .402. These have been shot with 5 different powders and two different bullets. I did not cronograph the loads yet.
The rifle is a Stolle Panda with a Kreiger 28"bbl.

22 dasher loads info 14 twist

Hi Jim,
I would also think Benchmark might be a good candidate for your bullets & 14 twist. My 14-twist 22br likes it with Starke 52 BR's.
I emailed a guy I know shoots a 22dasher for him to jump in here.
Steve Long.

on dasher on prancer...

did I just see a snowflake...NOT...
ooopss I got a lil carried away....the advice u got about powders in the range of 4895 is a good ,,,even with an 8 twist Dasher ..the bullet wt. sorta determins what works best more than bbl twist....you shuld have good results with the med range of powdrs....the 80 gr 8 twist loads work great with 4350..but that is prolly a lil slow for what ur doin...OBTW ...is your reamer throated for the short bullets....if the reamer was designed for the 80's which are much longer than the 50-55's you may end up havin to jump em...which is not necessarily bad...
The Dasher and all of the BR wildcat children are some of the best, most accurate, ctgs in the world ...I have fiddled with just about everything from big to lil and am finally focused on the BR case and am having the most fun shooting in my life....good luk with it and let us know what works,,and how good it works......Roger
