Hello out there BR C Forums, my first post, not sure if I'm doing this correctly but, I have to start sometime. Here is the question? After reading many posts I came across some one saying that they lube the .22 bullets before shooting? Did I read this correctly? I thought I could go back and find that statement but I cannot. Is anybody doing this and if so does it help and what do you use? thanks john.

John can not alter ammo in any way if shooting in a match so what's the use.

John,

Many have tried experimenting with various aftermarket lubes claiming they have found a better answer, but I’ve yet to see anyone who has been able to definitively prove it enhances accuracy and considering the ammo manufacturers spend millions on R & D….it’s probably folly to think we could come up with something better than they’re using.

Wow, lube .22 bullets

Thanks for the link and all of that great feedback. I read it all and made some notes and will be on my way to Gander or Dicks asap to get me some Thompson center T17 Natural lube 1000 plus, and do some testing of my own. Before I posted my question I had some Rem oil in my Gun box at the rang the other day and started to use it to see what happened. I can tell you this much, my rifle barrel had very little powder fowling. Thanks BR C john
