Congratulations to all..
The long season of qualifying ended at the completion of the NBRSA Nationals in Holton MI. The deposits are in and the teams are set. Listed below are the names of the team members who will be representing the United States at the 2019 World Benchrest Championship. The 15th World Benchrest Championship will be held July 17-21 2019 at the Rosebud Rifle and Silhouette & Benchrest Club located about 30 miles outside Calgary Canada.
Team 1 - Wayne Campbell, Bob Scarbrough Jr., Joel Nader, Tony Boyer
Team 2 - Andy Shifflett, Billy Stevens, Mike Conry, Lee Hachigian
Team 3 - Harley Baker, Gary Bristow, Jeff Graves, Jack Neary
First Alternate: Jeff Summers
Second Alternate: Gene Bukys
Third Alternate: Durward Wofford
Fourth Alternate: Bud Mundy
Honorary Team Captain: Walt Berger
Special congratulations are in order for first time team members Joel Nader, Harley Baker and Jeff Graves.
Competing for your country in a team environment where everyone relies on each other is a pressure like nothing else we here in the USA contend with. The sharing of information and strategies is far different than the everyone for himself concept we use to compete here. I assure you it will be an experience like no other but a great time none the less..
