Hello BR Friends...!
90 shooters arrived in Fairchance, PA, on 4/30 - 5/1 to attend and compete at the NBRSA’s Eastern Regions largest matches, The Annual Hog Roast Match.
The Eastern Region and the entire BR shooting community lost a great family man, true gentlemen, top competitor and renown bullet maker in January, Lowell Hottenstein.
Bill Reahard, the Hog Roast Match Director and trusty long-time assistant/Rangemaster, Jerry Van Sickle, both sought fitting to honor Lowell’s memory by dedicating this year’s Hog Roast Match to Lowell and his family. We were very fortuniate to have Lowell’s wife, Barb and his son, Ken join the Hog Roast festivities this past weekend! It was great to see them both again and I know they both had a great time visiting with all their dear BR friends….
This year’s Hog Roast was also the second U.S. World Team qualifying match of the year, bringing many BR shooters’ to the Fairchance Rod and Gun Club to gain the points necessary to earn a coveted place on the U.S. World Team.
On to our match….
