I have a question for you LR gunsmiths. I am building a heavy gun and using a 1.450" barrel and barrel block. My question is does it really make any difference if I use a 1.350" or 1.450" action, cartridge will most likely be a 30/375 Ruger.

I didn't think to ask when I originally posted but is there any reason not to go with the 1.450" dia for the barrel.

I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a new tend to, perish the thought, go smaller.
