I have the .177 Lilja on one of my Dawdsons . I have things that are tacking most of my time but the barrel looks good so far .I have shoot 50-60 pellets through it . I can get 20 ft/lb with just a hammer spring adjustment , from the 20 ft/lb Benchmark .22 seating . I have only tried 10.3 AA and 13.4 JSB . The 10.3 AA do well . More to come .

I had some time before Dr. this AM . I finished a Air stripper and machined a barrel weight for the Lilja . Put the barrel wight where most end up and put the stripper on . Out side 25 M , 35 degrees and light wind .AA 10.3 at 925fps -930fps . 10 shots , .300in X .220in. out side to out side . I hope with barrel weight movement I can get the vertical out . It looks like a good one .

.177 Lilja

Rick,
4-5 years ago I put a .22 2 grove Lilja that was too heavy for my sporter on my USFT.

How many barrels did you have to order to get a .177 barrel made?

Paul

the .177 air rifle barrel is in there lineup now . It is a 4 groove . It is my under standing that all of the first batch are goon . I have just one . Working with CPH is looking good . 3-8 pellets in the same spot , with no enlarging of the first howl .Then a flyer . The CPH I have are of a bad quality .Large valences in head size and bad mold seams . I have some different ones and well get some new ones in an attempt to get some good ones . Dan I know you work with CPH a lot , any suggestions for me to get good ones ?

Die I... Proceed with caution! The lots in March were very good. June lots were pretty good with a few including molding marks. I just pick through and sort out those with marks. The good ones I sort with the pen. The sorted proved to shoot very well... Track and group well in variable wind conditions. The last lot I had seen August are horrible! Most had molding marks on the skirt and on the head.

Hi All I found some Oct 2010 F CPH that looked much better . They did not have die seams . They had big variances in head size . From the tin inside Wed. night they were OK 248 , 7 ?? X . I shot out side to day with bad conditions . Strong rear and quartering rear . 247 , 8X and 246 14X . The Lilja is the first barrel that I have worked with that did not like any weight on the end . I well finish up a light weight stripper tomorrow .( Dan give me a call when you can .) Over all I am very happy with the Lilja , Dawson combo . With more fine tuning and pellet sorting I have high hopes for the combo . I hope this was a help for anyone thinking of getting a fine .177 Lilja air rifle barrel . Rick
