150-1 Suhl bolt shims

In the November, 2001 issue of Precision Shooting, an article by Hoke Kerns, discusses adjusting the head space in the Shul 150, with shims provided by a Mr. Gary Letnes. I have attempted an E-Mail to him. It did not bounce and no answer.
Would there be any other place a person could find the required shims? My 150-1 has never shot very well, re-crowning helped some, in checking the head space I find it to in excess of .050. Wounder why it won't shoot?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill:)

When you rebarrel, the smith can set the HS Correctly. Using shims helps, but you can over do it. You can order any kind of shim you need from McMaster. Do not try to get that HS closer than .044" on a factory barrel. You do not want the nose of the bolt touchung the beach. Just measure the bolt where the shims would go.

You might also try www.seastrom-mfg.com I've seen their name on a lot of the other shims I have ordered.
