Which should I go with. Looking to get a PTG crowm facing tool and can't decide on which one to get. Is ther any advantages to either one, other than the obvious recess in the 11 degree? Thanks. Tim

Used to be that the 11* crown help protect the crown of your barrel, but nowadays everyone uses a tuner, so a 90* crown would be just as good as the tuner will protect the crown.

Thanks. No tuner. Just going to recut the crown on a factory Savage MKII and was looking for some insite. Not too worried about damage to the crown, but 11* may be te better choice. The cutter I was looking at is from PTG through Midway. The pilots are .217 .218 .219, are these the correct size for a rimfire, or will I need to order a smaller pilot?
