1000 yd matches

Years ago I used to go to Hawksridge and shoot benchrest in the light gun category. I have heard the range there is closed and the members may be using the National Guard Range at Butner. Could anyone provide me with the match schedule. I would be grateful for any information.

For some reason I don't see the IBS matches on the Range schedule but they are on the IBS schedule (last link)

North Carolina 1000 yard benchrest is now shot at Camp Butner, just north of Durham. The club was always NC 1000 BR, the range was Hawks Ridge. As you noted, the Hawks Ridge range is no longer available to the club.

The North State Shooting Club has nothing to do with benchrest matches, but their site is worth a look, and they have a good map for finding Butner.

Just look for NC 1000yd / Camp Butner NC. We're shooting two matches a day now, first match is March 20th.
