hey all,
I am looking to. Build a nice varmint load for my savage model 12 lrpv to use up to 600 and occasionally try 800 yard shots. I have found a good load for the speer tnt bullets using benchmark, but hope to find something better. I'm currently between the 70 blitzking, 75 vmax, and 87 vmax. I use the blitzking in my 204 and love it, but was wondering if the 87 would do better with the fast twist barrel? Please feel free to give any opinions/experiences/advice. Never know what you can learn without conversation..

Thanks everyone,
Kory

1-8 6BR load

Kory: I'm having great results with the suggested load on the 6mmBR website: 31 grs. of Varget, 95 gr. Berger VLD Target/Hunting #24527, seated to touch, CCIBR4 primers, Lapua brass, Hart 1-8, .272" no-turn neck. My "standard" load for my 8 twist's.

Thanks guys, and I'm on 6mmbr.com all the time. I sderiously yhave the pages for 6br memorized. I actually can identify the guns of the week when I see them on forums and gunsmith pages.lol.
Ill try the bergers. Do they have good splatter effect? And I shoot the 107 smk as I bought the gun to play w/ benchrest. Try 30.4 varget, cci 450 primer, lapua brass, and jump 20 thousandths. With hornady oal tool I measure base to ogive at 1.829 I think, but ill check my reloading notebook next time I'm home. Start at 28.6 amd go up from there 2 grains at a time, and shoot groups at 300 if possible when testing. Just use the fowler round to get u on target

Thanks,
Kory

Thanks shuster. I have all those on hand. But the br primers. I have cci, cci magnum, federal, remington benchrest.will the magnum cci do the job? And what's the splatter look like? I'm wanting a good varmint load that splatters some. I like the matchkings with 30.4 varget but I'm always looking for smaller groups. :)

Thanks,
Kory
