Make a solution of a few drops of Dish soap and 1/2 cup of water. Wash the offending Plastic part / parts and let dry without rinsing,no more static. Electronic Geeks use Grounded Antistatic mats,wrist straps and Antistatic fluid to keep static at bay. Regards & good shooting, Steve
