Thanks Hozzie, I talked to a shooting buddy and he is trying this with a factory rifle that he uses for factory class ARA, he says that after over 1500 rounds he has only used C4 to clean the bore and to get the carbon ring out, just patches, no brushing at all, he says he can tell no difference...

I have been seeing on other forums that some are using the C4 carbon cleaner for their 22's with patches only and soaking the chamber to get the carbon ring and not brushing the bore for 1000's of rounds with no loss in accuracy........ whats your thoughts on this ?

I have bedded several rifles over the years, mostly centerfire and a few rimfire, I have a customer who brought me a CZ 452 Varmint, this model has a lug thats dovetailed into the barrel and a stock attachment screw for the lug , my initial thinking leads me to believe to pillar bed the action...

Thats what I am seeing at local matches, guys cleaning frequently, you read a lot of this on the net about guns not needing cleaned, I didnt believe it is why I asked here. Thanks Tim

Been reading on a couple of sites about rimfire cleaning, what to use, how to do it, what not to do, and some are even claiming they are not cleaning at all for 1000's of rounds with no loss in accuracy. I figure guys on here will know what works and what dont. Your input appreciated.

Thanks for the replies everyone, the scope is very much like the CT 24 thats still available, it just doesnt have the locking AO ring, this one is made in Japan. I do know they arent covered under warranty anymore.
