I think you are confusing ABRA with ARA. ABRA Factory FACTORY CLASS: Factory rifle barrel with factory markings must be used for its model, and no diameter more than .750, at the end of the barrel and without alteration. However, it may be re-crowned and re-chambered. If barrel has a front...

    IR50/50 Indoor Unlimited Nationals 2024 @ Piney HIll $$$

You’re correct, the shoot and have fun is kinda my deal. I totally understand however where you’re coming from. The HOF points, the list…… is what drives you and others to participate in these sanctioned events. It is sad that IR50/50 cannot seem to keep up with the results, points, list and the...

    IR50/50 Indoor Unlimited Nationals 2024 @ Piney HIll $$$

Bruce, working off your last sentence, where do you go from here? For UL there are other options, but knowing how much you enjoy sporters, you’re left with zero options. At least for now. George

    My range trip

Frank, you’re exactly correct. I shoot several target rifles, mostly 52D’s although I have 40X’s and several other well known brands. I even had a couple of custom rifles at one time. Eventually, I sold the custom rifles due to changes at our local clubs getting away from using them. I been...

The Bill Calfee I knew (part 3 cont.) 2

Tony, great post with all the pictures of some really famous rifles built by a really famous Schmidt. But one was left out, and I think next to his pistols, this was one was his favorites. LBK

    Repeater actions from Turbo

Well, the big, oversized, butt ugly magazines are in vogue's in today’s world. Look at Vudoo, Rim-X, Begara, PGT, you can even get a classic Remington 40X converted to accept the big, oversized, butt ugly magazine. Personally. If had to design a .22 repeater, it would use a Ruger rotary...

    Repeater actions from Turbo

If it had one of those big oversized magazines like Vudoo has, well it would be more appealing to the general public.

    IR50/50 Indoor Sporter Nationals

The sporter portion is what holds most people back, put a 6X scope on you UL rifle, with the stock sitting on sand bags, shoot a UL target and see some of what it might be like. Sporter shooters are in a class of their own and I have the upmost respect for what they do.
