    Flags?

I like the "wicks type" Ray Hill makes. The dual vanes make identifying the angle of the flag very easy. Mike

    The new Anschutz 22 MAX

I’m not a Rimfire BR guy, but I shoot a lot of Rimfire BR cards. I don’t think a gun that shoots a 1/2” ctc group is anything to shout about, is it? Can’t imagine that would get anyone too far on a ARA card. Am I wrong in thinking that? Mike

Change in rimfire BR over the last 10 years

What was said about air rifles is mostly true. You won’t save any money up front with an air gun. If you like to shoot, you will make up any difference very quickly. I average at least 5000 rounds a month… year round. That would cost me about 1800$ a month in Rimfire….but it’s about 100$...

    Little N50 testing

Here is a slug pressing video. The press uses .185” lead wire. The wire is chopped into about 5/8” long pieces and the press does the rest. I can press about 750 perfect slugs per hour. The slug is ejected from the die on the upstroke and a pusher attached to the press handle knocks the slug...

Hi Dave, we have no export laws restricting air rifles on this side. I suspect if the proper permits are obtained, they could be imported on your side. Mike

    Little N50 testing

Hi Sam, pellet guns are around 4350 and slug guns are around 5000 including the die to make your slugs. Slug guns are competitive with mid to upper unlimited Rimfire and cost 2c per shot with new lead, Pellet guns are just as accurate but drift about 3-4x slug or Rimfire. Pellets are a blast...

No…it’s just Dymalux so it’s already very heavy compared to wood or laminate. Mike

    Little N50 testing

Jeff…lots of options for air. I started out with a Hill hand pump. At that time I only had a 12fpe gun, and it equated to about 1 pump per shot. Next, I bought some used 30 minute SCBA tanks for about 100$ each and the local fire department filled them for free as a public service one day...

    Little N50 testing

Got this pellet gun put together from the ugly parts bin for Nationals. Rotex stock, electronic action and taper lapped 6 groove barrel. 22 caliber 25.4gr monsters at 940-950. I took about 20 shots to get a rough tune and my scope zero…then this 100 shot group. Wind was about 2-6. Holding...

    Extreme Benchrest 2023

It’s always at Rio Salado, and it’s usually in October. It’s not really a BR match, although it has some of the trappings of a BR match. It’s a very hyped up fun shoot with 4 or 5 other carnival events thrown in with it. It’s a one card format for placement. Mike

    Omega Air Charger

i have one....about 2 years old.now. Its a great compressor for the money. I also have a Supercharger. The Air charger is 3x faster and 2/3 the cost. Tops off a 88cuft tank from 3000-4500 in about 35 minutes. Mike

    Shooting The FX Impact MKII

Jan...Huma makes a internal reg for your gun that works properly. They also make an external reg that’s about 180 euro for DIN valve tanks. You can also just let your big tank get down in pressure and tether it to test your idea with a long shot string. Mike

Getting closer to Unlimited with Air

Well, so far it’s not more accurate. I wish it was. It may be more accurate than some unlimited rimfire guns...but it’s certainly not as accurate as others. I can hold velocity spreads around 12....but we only shoot 840-860 FPS. You can double the spread and still keep the same theoretical...
