Here is a picture of the Rotex I have & the Lidguard I put together for a friend.

    For a lefty which action

I believe the Vudoo’s do have the large tenon, but as mentioned, I have no experience with them. I also like wood stocks & those Leonard stocks are what I wanted too. There is a gentleman that makes one very similar & is what I went with on my V1. Not a straight line but I’ve personally never...

    For a lefty which action

Ian, I understand not wanting to go the R/R or L/L route, especially once shooting a lbrp. The ergonomics are so much better. I don't have any experience with Vudoo's so can't speak to those but do have an older Flash Turbo, a V1 & V3 lbrp guns. All of which have been competitive. To source one...

CZ 457 benchrest scope setup question

The reason for the different moa rails is additional elevation for extended yardages. That, & some like to have the erector tube more centered in the scope. Also probably thought as more robust that the factory dovetails + many already have a stash of rings on hand. For your intentions the...

    My range trip

Shortly after I was introduced to rfbr I upgraded rifles to a B & the next year a C. Don't think I had flags or a windage adjustable rest then & the best I recall shooting was the low 240's. I sold or traded both those away for "better" equipment but have wondered at times what I could shoot...

McKeesport Sportsmen's Association - PA State IR50/50 3-Gun Championship Results

Yeah, I saw that too. Its not his only 20x+ target this year either. I may just bring my spotting scope & watch the show at the Sporter Nats. I've lucked into only a few 20x cards with the sporter over the years, very few, & am amazed at how consistently he's always done this. Incredible! Tony...

    IBS factory class rule question

Scott, actually there is no rule about paint on a sporter stock. It just says that wood grain must be visible for the entire length & or that proof is the shooters responsibility. I think paint can't "cover" completely is all. From the rulebook: Stock must be made of wood and must be designed...

    McKeesport Sportsmen's Association - PA State IR50/50 3-Gun Championships 09/01/2024

STACKING PENNIES A guy once told me to put a penny in a jar every time you got laid before your 40. Then, take a penny out every time after 40 & you'll never go broke. Jason's still saving money & maybe doesn't have any time for this foolishness....

The 2024 IR 50/50 Nationals Fairchance Gun Club Pa. 27-28- and 29 September 2024 (all you need to know)

I would like to see the annual meeting brought back to the Nationals to be able to maybe address some of these issues somehow.

    Repeater actions from Turbo

Wasn't the selling point of them being sold as "trainers" having the same "feel" as they're centerfire match rifle but able to train with cheaper 22 ammo? Anyhow, thanks for sharing. Now, is a V3 , crescent pin TD Junior gonna be in the works? I'll bet you can't resist it.;)

Turbo V-3 Upgrade --- Hot Off the Press

Thank you Anthony. It is one of the pre-upgrade actions. :(

    Watching Wind Flags

I would have tried it on a sighter a few times to confirm. In my case then there was no calms. I was shooting at Fairchance which I was told could be a bear. Sure was, & if I hadn’t tried an additional flag where I suspected the problem was I’d have struggled again. Funny thing is as I had a...

    Watching Wind Flags

In my opinion you can't go by watching one flag meaning first or last. Get that nonsense out of your head, no disrespect intended. You have to watch all the flags obviously & the most important time is when you miss which flag showed it. Stay away from that. Easy to say that but hard to do...

    IR 50/50 2024 schedule

I didn't check the schedule before seeing this post but got curious & I see it on the schedule. I can see several months ahead doing so. I did have to use the search function though. It wasn't on the Home page schedule. I see the UL National results too Tim.

    Project RFBR Rifles

I wasn't aware of anything in particular going on at PH. Hadn't checked the 50/50 site until you mentioned this but nothing up yet. I'm guessing 10 shot? In any case, not likely to make anything in February. You mentioned "outside" barrels. Do you have specific inside & outside barrels? I only...

    Which barrel tuner.

I see a few on some rifles when I'm down to the Nationals. Never heard much good or bad about them. Run 'er!!
