    Reworking a REM 5R Barrel.

I tend to doubt you will get any noticeable improvement. The real measurable difference will be somewhere in the $150 to $250 range missing from your wallet. If you have a source for free chambering work the difference will be measured in number of hours spent working on a project that gives...

    30 cal RPM Bullets

If you are a moderately active shooter 1000 bullets is a nice supply, I remember when I started shooting I could not imagine buying that many at a time. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view those days are gone. At least for myself. Dick

    6PPC-USA, Higth Speed/Accuracy

In an ideal world you want reloads that are as straight as possible. In reality there are a lot of things you can do wrong that will kill accuracy, even if the bullet to case alignment is dead on. I have told this story here before, in fact I tell it every 2 or 3 years. Back in the late 80's I...

    6BR for Varmints

The 6 BR sounds like a very good choice for your intentions. A 13 or 14 twist barrel would be ideal for the lighter 60-70gr bullets out t0 300-400 yards. If you want to shoot the 90-110gr vld's at longer yardages go with an 8 twist. Dick

    Scorring:

Apparently that is the only club you visited that was following the rules. I personally do not like this rule, but it is the rule nevertheless. Below is an excerpt from the Tournament Procedures section of the IBS rulebook "J) Protests and Appeals 1) A fee of $10.00 shall be in place for any...

    How late can a person

Technically IBS requires a late fee of $10.00 after the advertised cutoff date of preregistration for a Nationals. Many match directors do not enforce this. The only intended purpose of this rule is to let the match organizers know how many people are coming for ordering awards, food, etc. This...

    Precision Shooting Magazines 1970 - 1990 Value?

vtmarmot Your post reminds me of when my in-laws moved out of their home of 30+ years, my father in-law had 25+ years of national Geographic, and my mother in-law proclaimed they were not coming to the new house. Some guy came in an old station wagon, paid $20 and literally loaded that wagon...

    rem varmint contour barrel

If you are worried about being legal James Lederer told you correctly in the previous post. Originally you said something about a good price, It would have to be an awfully good price to be worthwhile in my mind. Dick PS: as Jackie said it would not be my first choice, or for that matter second.
