    well you said it. i did not mention names. no other organization that i know that shoots benchrest has an age of firearm limit in a class. killough SELLS GUNS, killough basically owns the shooting org, and YES THEY have a rule that says factory class rifles cannot be more than five years old...

    yes but...the association out of texas is owned by a store that sells 22 stuff. the rules are based on SELLING GUNS. lets say you have a great shooting factory rifle...well only for 5 years and then you can no longer shoot it..it the rule, a rule designed to sell rifles, not to promote shooting...

    so when you shoot more than ONE shot of a load, it is GROUP shooting. in this case 5 shot groups. you can test 30 br in much smaller increments... use .2 or even .1....i have done 3 shots in .1 increments going from 35 to 36 or from 34 to 35

    you have me confused/ a ladder has a SINGLE step at each level, group has multiple rounds per level. how do you get 25 rounds from 34-36 gr ?? one hole groups are normal in 30 br..it is the size AND SHAPE of the group that counts

    MOST LIKELY JUST FINE. does the container have any steel parts ?? if so, open and check for rust( as opposed to deteriorated powder)..rust can be removes with a magnet and powder still used . i have some WWII 4831 that had rust, cleaned with a magnet, and shoots just fine

    WELL there is a down side to h4895..in the 6.5 GT....it is very temp sensitive. i shot a 600 yard match in OJAI sunday am. very mild conditions except for TEMP.. started at 30 and was about 45 when i finished lite gun. pure krapp. i had no shot to shot tracking, and heavy bolt lift on most...

    while i am a brass weigher/sorter, most short range guys claim they do not. i do not KNOW THE TRUTH. but i sorted pre turning and fire forming and my sorts are small ..aprox 25 pcs per batch. typically sorted to a tenth. i did 2 boxes in one lot , twice worked fine. at least 7 useful lots

    i have too much time and money tied up in using lapua 220 r to be a guinea pig for a new product. call me in a couple of years and let me know how its going. i know some who did some of the preproduction testing. i am not out of 220 russian yet
