    Is benchrest dying?

We have no 'young' shooters at ouir matches. The last gentleman and his daughter (11 yo) that shot ended up w/ a divorce. Dont know anything else about em. I do know that the ammo supply is taking or going to be taking some bites out of shooters. Price is also killing many shooters. Even if...

    Jacket manufacturing

Had the good fortune of doing a tour at Nosler last summer. Very interesting. I found out why partition bullets are so expensive. Also neat to see them make the lead 'slugs' from a 75# ingot.

    Eley Match Price Increase

PO delivering a lot of UPS packages around here. UPS truck backs up to the PO most days. Houses can be quite a ways apart in many places. The other thing-an invoice recently noted an extra charge for residential delivery. Perhaps that pays the PO. I know UPS has had an extra charge for...

    Just getting into benchrest shooting.

I have had jag/patches problems. I like Pro-shot prods. Jag and 1 1/8" patches required that I hammer them thru the bore. I even had my son take the jag and cut it down a few thousands but have to use the 7/8 (or whatever the smaller size is) patches. Id like a couple thousands of the jag back...

Shipping to an FFL has even tightened up..

Lits of people like to interpet the law. Tose PO clerks are doing what they would like the law to be. We have a county prosecutor doing the same with open carry right now. Our last postmaster would not ship any long gun for me period. He left after he told a customer to get the f out of the...

    Scope mounting

Original; poster said "...dont think lappig would be beneficial..."?? I thought lapping is always beneficial. Then I went to the product suggested website (Kokopelli) and he said "mount your scope the same as bedding your stock" or something to that effect. That was more to my understanding as...

    Unertal scopes

Try Parsons scope service down near Cincinnatti, OH BUT they may be out of business. No young folks want to do that kind of work. Wish I was young again cause one could make some $$ and feel rewarded at the end of the week.

Remington 6 1/2 small rifle primers

Not long ago the internet was abuzz with recommendation to use SMALL PISTOL primers in the HORNET. Many shooters responded that they work better than the rifle variety. Seems the pistol variety dont get the bullet moving before the powder is lit.

    Removing Paint form BR Stock

Two years ago I visited the McMillan stock company in Phoenix. Luckily I ran into the general forman on a preakat their outside picnic bench. I asked about refinishing a fiberglas stock. He suggested the following: Sand and fill all 'spots' and mold marks. He told me the name of filler to...

No more Remington reloading products soon!

I dont know what the disinformation you gs has spread. About 1976, I followed the info the John Birch Society was putting out and in that 35 years, and looking back I have found about 80% of that to be true. The other 20% may also be accurate but I dont follow economics etc so I dont know about...

    Favorite Songs....

Somewhere back a ways it was mentioned about voting and the last time we were not given much choice. I suggest, no STATE, that we dont have much choice this time. The news media, who really does the choosing, has done another number on us. If you dont think the media is in control just go back...
