Those replacements werent #10803 by chance were they. Im needing one and have never used/seen Limbsavers. How do they compare as to recoil absorption. Most pads are so hare they dont do much. One other potential problem is the gun is always standing on the recoil pad.

Couple not the brand names mention just get hard and dont absorb much of anything. The do add some dimension to the stock but absorb recoil, NO. One Im thinking most is on a black plastic stock, 1903A3 Springfield. Took it off and replaced w/ a nice fitting 5/16 " wood plate.

Should be relatively easy to make a 30-06 into a 6.5-06.. Lots of brass and all you need is a couple dies and new barrel, or complete gun. Great bullets available in that caliber.
