    6mm ppc

Those bullets like .003 to .009 jump, so I shot them at .004 jump, and with 28.5grs of N133 it will shoot well.

    6mm ppc

In my LV gun with a 21" barrel, 30.0 grs of N133 goes 3400fps, and out of my HV with 24" barrel it goes 3500fps.

Lee Hachigian Wins WWCCA 2024 Wolverine Challenge 6.9.24

Congrats on your finish Tim! Despite my awful start in LV 100 in dead last place, I managed to have my best weekend so far with some guidance from Larry Feusse by really turning it around in HV and salvaging ther LV agg with a decent run in LV 200.

Bullet choice strictly for 100 yards score matches.

The easiest shooting 6mm 68gr bullet I have tried is Bart's Original 68gr FB. At either .006 into the lands, or .004 jump, that bullet just flat shoots.

Bullet choice strictly for 100 yards score matches.

I would go with the 12 twist barrel unless it's a tomato stake, and the 68bt's will be fine. A shooter I know says that most competitors he shoots with in score are using LT-32 since it's more forgiving on the tune.

Wayne Campbell wins 36th Annual Hog Roast

I didn't do very well at this event, but I did finally manage to nail down a tune window with the powder and tuner on both of my rifles. The HV had a mechanical issue that sidelined it for the last relay. My wind reading skills are not nearly good enough. But at least I can trust the rifle and...

    Watching Wind Flags

I've only been shooting for a couple years, so my flag reading technique is well behind some others here, but in response to your question, the flag that demands the most attention can change depending on the range you're shooting. There are 3 ranges in the eastern Region that have a strong...

Spring Tune up at WWCCA, MI. 4.20.24

For HV 200 small group? I can just pick it up in June unless someone wants to send it to me.

Spring Tune up at WWCCA, MI. 4.20.24

My Heavy gun did fairly well. That was my best yardage agg to date. My light gun however was a train wreck! All this new equipment is going to take more time to sort out.

    Flinching

I'm not particularly recoil sensitive, but the muzzle blast can get me at times. I started wearing ear plugs as well as noise cancelling ear muffs and it's much better now.

It could also be that Hodgdon is manipulating the market since they own so many different brands. Last year hodgdon brand powders were scarce, but the Accurate Arms line filled shelves. VV is the only one that has exercised some restraint.

    powder prices

VV hasn't gotten stupid with their pricing. Alliant went through the roof earlier this year. AA did too in the spring, but came back to earth later. Now they have gotten ridiculous again. I have 28lbs of VV and 10 of LT-32, so I can play the waiting game until a deal comes along.
