Need a few opinions on BR equipment

I'll opine. The buttstock. Think 3-legged stool. A 4-legged stool will always rock, a 3-legged CANNOT rock. A wide flat buttstock (I've got several full-blown 2" butt BR guns and am currently including a 2" wide buttstock in my youtube series on making an accurate 50BMG) and the only way they...

I've got only a smattering of gradeschool math so my engineering stuff is generally limited to layman grade ('Rifle Accuracy Facts'- Vaughn, 'The Bullet's Flight from Powder to Target The Internal and External Ballistics of Small Arms: A Study of Rifle Shooting with the Personal Element...

    Well, it's been ten yrs.....favorite books/authors?

I think Charles Ellertson did this first....http://benchrest.com/showthread.php?84685-Favorite-Books ..... and I enjoyed that interchange so an homage, any readers here? As in "read for entertainment" readers? I've some favorite authors....... some involved with shooting but many others...

    Sons and Daughters

I've never understood folks conflating "religion" with maturity...... For a civilization to succeed the citizenry must be capable of transcending tribalism. Tribalism can only be replaced by mature adults facing the future with vision and preparing for it. And by these mature adults passing it...

    Sons and Daughters

This is such a big deal : I was blessed with parents that took each of us 8 kids aside individually to absolutely assure us that not only were they "there for us to talk to" but that they'd be hurt if we ever felt uncomfortable talking about ANYTHING.... anything at all..... no limits and no...

Mike THANK YOU for this post! REAL problems....REAL solutions and your last sentence says it all.....YOUR chamber will dictate YOUR die And may I add please that regarding the "3 cases" that the cases must be fired multiple times to hammer them out until they're tight if Harrell's is to take...

    MechForce barrel vice

https://mechforce-usa.com/mechforce-professional-grade-heavy-duty-barrel-vise/ Whether it would work or not depends on your usage. This vise is typical of most competition vises. It is essentially the same as Bob Pastor's 'Viper' which is very popular. It will work for custom applications but...

    Sons and Daughters

I didn't and don't and my 5 sons are gentlemen everywhere and in every way, absolutely trustworthy in any and all situations. They were raised with complete instructions as was I..... that taking a woman out more than once is unfair to both parties unless you're solidly convinced that that...

    Longthorne Gunmakers

I have dozens of them..... and chalk, and wax. One of the handiest things for carding files is a bronze toothbrush My files don't touch each other nor are they allowed to rust My kids don't use them without permission and they learn first day that files and reamers and saws are one-way...

    bonding/gluing aluminum

3M 3200 is much stronger than epoxy. It held more weight than epoxy and when the joint failed after 23hrs @ 65* it was still tacky inside. As in EVERYTHING more than 1/8" in from the edges was sticky so..... #1, full cure is listed at 48hrs average @ room temperature...... and #2 I'ma try it...

    Sons and Daughters

It's a parent thing......And a societal thing.... a sad statement on societal mores and the twisted messages we inflict on our young, ie son, "get out there and play the field! Make us proud! Heh Heh...." daughter, "keep your legs crossed! I don' wanna raise no grandbabbies" it's a sick...
