Thanks for the load data. Just picked some IMR4350 for the .243, do you think this would work well instead of the H4350 you were using?

Thanks for the tips on bullets and brass. Someone posted earlier about going with heavier bullets as well, need to check that out.

    .270 accuracy update

Thanks for the information, I've been looking at the sc, glad someone's putting it to good use. And Sav-1, I appreciate everyones input. There are loads I haven't tried yet, not because I won't, just haven't gotten that far.

Thanks for the replies. 51grns is pretty low but it was the min load listed so I thought it was a good place to start. Will deffinetely try the .5 increases.

    .270 accuracy update

Good point, I should have brought that up. Its the off season here so this is purely an exercise in accuracy. I have a hunting load worked up. This is mostly a learning experience for me to see what kind of accuracy I can squeeze out of this rifle/these rounds. 0.5 is the goal...

    .270 accuracy update

Awesome pic, thanks for the reply! I'm fire-forming some Win brass, have the CCI primers and H4831 ready to go. Hopefully will have the bullets by the time the brass is prepped. Honestley don't think I'll be getting the kind of groups you guys are posting but thats my fault and gives me...

RBetts, thanks for the load data and great shooting! That group at 200 is smaller than I've been able to pull off at 100. Finally found some H4831 so that's what I'll be using.

Good point, for practical application I couldn't agree more. The purpose for now is to see what can be squeezed out of it.

Thanks for the input. Have the MKs on order, just waiting for them to arrive. Barrel is floated, action bedding is next on my list. alpinecrick, I really want to try some 160s. A local shop has some Nosler Partitions in 160, the only ones I've seen locally. I'll start with the Sierras...

    270 accuracy baseline

vicvanb, you're right that .5 is a lot to expect out of a hunting rifle, and I don't think it will get to the point where it will group .5 all day every day. What I would like to do is learn the rifle, the round, and the loads required to get below .5 on a fairly regular basis. We've all met...

Thanks for the replies, I've heard good thing about the IMR4831, how does it compare with the 4064?
