    N130 vihtavuori

Yep. Haven't yet tossed it. Here's a picture of what the can looks like. The attached picture is a Hodgdon container but it contains 133. My powder measure takes 1 lb containers screwed into it so when I have only 8 lb containers of some type of powder, I put it into an empty containers to dispense.

New Magic Long Range Hornady 6mm ARC!!!!

Personally, I have no reason or intent to chamber anything in 6 ARC. Among other reasons, I've got a few barrels chambered in 6 BR, a superior round in my view. I'll promise you I don't limit my 6 BR loadings to 50K.

    30BR primers?

I shot 30BR for years with a little success with regular Fed 205.

New Magic Long Range Hornady 6mm ARC!!!!

This from a cover page article from the NRA's "Shooting illustrated", 6mm ARC, "Advanced Rifle Cartridge", meant primarily for AR platforms. After you get into the article you find that the "new" cartridge is a 6mm PPC with 1 grain more powder capacity shooting 107 grain bullets into fast...

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

$40/pound!!?? I just bought 4 lbs of Western TAC for $20/each + $30 in shipping and hazmat fees. So that nets out at $27.50 each.

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

I have no idea why a particular container of powder will turn and another the same age not. I lost some Varget a couple of years ago and some Vv133 recently. Maybe watch out for powders beginning with V? The Varget was IMR made in Australia and the Vv was obviously Vhita Vouri made in Finland...

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

No so much what to buy but where do you buy from? I used to live in Atlanta metro and there were a ton of retail outlets with good powder selections and I used to go to matches. Neither of these are available to me now.

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

Changes to my life dropped my shooting by 85% and my competitive shooting pretty much to zero over the past 10 years. Other changes in my life look like I may start shooting again. I had a pretty good supply of consumables and have coasting along on that stock. Still have a lot of everything...

    Bad lots of N133 ?

I just noticed a roughly 20-year-old 1 lb container of 133 in my powder cabinet that has the rusty lid and bad smell. About a year ago, I noticed a jug of Varget from the same era was gone. Really expensive fertilizer.

    Insult to Injury:

A couple of weeks ago I send a package of gold coins worth a BUNCH, shipped USPS insured, tracking, signature required, etc., to an individual. He got them but he got home that afternoon to find the package sitting on his front porch! All following packages were sent USPS registered.

I Feel, and Look Like I went One Round With George Foreman

For basil cell carcinomas, good. The surgeons are pretty skilled and 4 months later it's hard to tell anything happened. This instance is more extreme than I'm used to. I suspect that I'll still have a hole in my nose but, at age 72, I'm no longer concerned with competing with Brad Pitt for the...

I Feel, and Look Like I went One Round With George Foreman

I look like I was taken out by a mean MF with brass knuckles. Monday I went in for a basal cell carcinoma removal from my nose. This is the 4th, maybe 5th basal cell removal I've had, the last one about 3 years ago was pretty bad, I figured that was as bad as the could get. In all the previous...

Though I've drifted from Benchrest over the last decade, I remember Wilbur perfectly and his wellbeing is important to me. One of the world's foremost true Good Guys.

    Lens choices for cataract surgery

Now I'm all excited and ready for the surgery. It was originally scheduled for the 14th and 28th of April but I have no idea when it will be now. My distance vision is now gone, no longer correctable by glasses, driving is getting to be a problem.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. Joe's post above is a near perfect description of my last year.
