Things seem to be fine when it's off of the gun, but adjustments don't hold after a few shots.

Is there any trick to using the little saw-wheel knobs to lock the legs in place once they've been adjusted? I can't keep the things from losing adjustment and finger tight doesn't cut it. Mine are probably 35+ years old. I'd hate to resort to using pliers on them.

I expect my cache is pretty polluted.
