A different method of mounting Rail Gun barreled action.

Polar Action I always admired pictures of this action but wasn't prepared for how big it actually is until I saw one laying on a bench in Gary Long's shop in Millville PA years ago. I asked Gary about it and he told me that someone had brought it in for repair. Seems the owner cut the front...

    Here they go again

Thanks but I've avoided Remington products for the last 20 years and see no reason to lament my decision.

    Here they go again

If it is I sure hope they resurrect the original 90 proof black label, and ditch that 80 proof garbage. Dumbing that down when the alcohol tax went up in order to keep the price stable was dumb...ranks with "new" coke fiasco years ago. --Greg

    Is H4198 a dirty powder?

I use 34.5 gr H4198 in my 30BR in the current barrel. I get a couple of very black wet patches when I first start cleaning, then use a bronze brush. This gives another dark patch but after that the lighten right up and I just then check for any copper. I will tell you that I do get some carbon...

    Here they go again

Perhaps if a minority NA group takes over the left will have less enthusiasm for attacking them. Then again, they could pirate the patents and equipment and sell everything off to oblivion.

    Bill Plummer

a longtime Maine score shooter sadly passed away yesterday from complications stemming of a long time illness. Bill and brother Skip have been shooters here in Maine for as long as I can remember, and have been both friends and friendly competitors for years. My condolences to Skip and the...

    watered down baseball

I won't watch anything where there is any likelihood of some of the overpaid social engineers elect to take a knee during our national anthem. They should stick to baseball

    Michigan Starting to Re-Open

I had to wear won yesterday to go into a restaurant to pick up take out. In 10 minutes I could barely breathe through the moisture soaked thing. I finally took it off. The do make a good way to try and hide your identity from the police when you riot though, as evidenced by the pics from NYC...

New to 30 BR - Robinnett case specs

You should have or can get from the reamer maker, a reamer print. That will give you the specifications of your chamber, like length, freebore amount, throat angle, etc. Check you reamer spec. I trim my cases about .005" short of my 1.52" chamber length.

    Remington X Mark Pro Triggers

In regards to your statement "shoulda bought a Tikka", I agree with you. Mine T3 is incredibly accurate and has a wonderful, no creep trigger breaking at about 4-5 lbs. Its good enough to produce .6" 3-shot groups with 129 gr Hornady SST hunting bullets. Its in 6.5x55 SE. The barrel cleans up...

    Labradar Service

I've seen a couple of these units exhibit a tough time picking up the bullet in flight no matter what the user did to line it up as instructed. They seem like a slick unit when they work. For the time being I'll stick with my tried and trusty Oehler 35.

    Randy Perkowski has passed

One of the last proponents... and users of the 30x47 and .308 in hunter gun shooting with 134 grain BIBs. I am so sorry to hear about his passing and wish his family the best as they deal with their loss. He was a great person and fun to be around at matches over the years.

newbie question, choice of .223 Rem bullets?

Three ranges in Maine shoot registered IBS score. Lincoln County Rifle Club in Damariscotta, Orrington Rod and Gun in Orrington and Capitol City in Augusta. https://internationalbenchrest.com and look at the schedule, score category. All matches so far this year in Maine have been cancelled...

All May, 2020 events, at Boone Valley Ike's, Webster City, IA cancelled.

In Maine we are all hoping that the restrictions in place by the governor are relaxed enough to hold matches in June. Supposedly, if all goes well, the max gathering number will increase to 50. Everything in the interim is tentative only.
