If the Dems take the senate and white house this country will slide downhill fast. Worst thing they can do is repeal the protection for lawful commerce in arms act protecting the gun makers from frivolous lawsuits. If that happens most of the small ones will be financially ruined in short order.

    Winchester 748 and 6mm ppc

Ken Waters wrote an article years ago along with Seely Masker about the PPC. His best accuracy was with IMR 4198, but that powder may not have been what todays IMR 4198 is. I don't think N133 was around then or if it was they did not use it.

"What will it mean" he asks... many more powder "eggs" in one basket? Less competition? Just questions, not positions. Only time will tell.

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

All of this is great news... the more responsible gun owners there are(hopefully they vote) the harder its going to be for Bloomberg and Soros to steal the second amendment.

Haven't bought any powder in a long while

The Dems had the white house 8 years ago, and Republicans work they don't riot and act like idiots. They acted as the opposition but didn't engage in any of the most absurd antics like the ones we've see in the last 3.5 years. Who would you want in charge????

Any value to a Pre 64 Mod 70

Value even if re-blued and wood finished, IF you buy it right, there is solid value in the action itself, if in good condition.

    2020 Lot of LT32

I tried some yesterday in my PPC and it shot ok at 27.52 gr. Too soon to tell however as it was 70F and will see how it does at 45 this coming Sunday morning. It sure meters smoothly and seems very clean burning based on case and bore inspection. Is this a true temperature stable powder? How...

Any value to a Pre 64 Mod 70

Doug i just stumbled onto another yesterday. I would not have bought it except for the caliber...its a .257 Roberts. However, the rifle has been re-blued except for the action and the stock has had all the checkering sanded off and cut down to a smaller profile and re-finished in what looks...

Any value to a Pre 64 Mod 70

Great rifles and a good place to park some $, and you can sell it down the road and re-coop some, all or more of your cost plus you have had the pleasure if its ownership and use over time. Pretty good combination of things imo.

Any value to a Pre 64 Mod 70

Totally dependent on condition. If its a standard grade post war or featherweight with all original finish, not flaking, no dings, dents or cracks in the stock, bluing is good shape, not altered $1000 range. If just a hunter or shooter half that. If its in a more rare caliber or a super grade...

    Primers...

Desperation... I guess. Many of us humans have forgotten the old farmers way, make hay while the sun shines and fill the larder and wood shed, cause the good times won't last, winter is coming. Or, the lessons of squirrels, that "squirrel" away a supply for the lean times. Seems much of life...

    Bad lots of N133 ?

Try some N130 or H322 or Benchmark. Don't think that N133 is the only thing that works in the 6PPC.

    6PPC Creedmoor

The 6.5 creedmoor is a fine cartridge, but really, it does not much that a 6.5x55 Sweed or PRC or 260 remington won't do. The most important factors are the quality of the firearm(barrel, action, stock, bedding...i.e. top components put together by a top notch gunsmith) and then the shooters...

    Forster trimmer?

If UR going to trim cases with a lathe style trimmer, the Wilson, especially if setup on their stand with the micrometer adjuster is just great imo.

    Prayers for Ronnie Cheek

Butch probably quite similar to a situation of a good friend this past March. He had surgery for an blood vessel aneurism on his heart(major surgery) and was discharged in 3 days due to covid concerns in the hospital. Probably a wise move at the time.

Dave is the firing pin protrusion variable like a BAT, or just screw it in to a stop then lock it down?
