    A hopeful sign?

I checked Powder Valley the other evening and lo and behold they had 8# jugs of H4198. I texted a couple of friends who needed some and both got one jug that evening. The next morning PV was sold out. Man, you just gotta keep checking and buy when you find it or someone else will.

    kalasnikov .311 bullits

Sell them to someone who will use them for their intended bore diameter and try and find .308" 125/130 gr bullets for your use. I can't imagine you can't find someone to buy them in this day and age, prob is finding .308" replacements. Good luck.

if you ever... get a chance to buy an extractor ring for the 722 based rifle you have that is correct for the head diameter jump on it. They are very scarce and according to some were prone to breaking. I have one 722 and one 721, .257 Roberts and /06 and shoot them some but have never had a...

    6PPC LV weight tolerance.

Francis stories like this are, for lack of other words, sad. Reading the post on this forum from the new president of NBRSA and his exchange with the outgoing President of IBS about what they can do to promote benchrest...well they can get rid of the scoundrels who do not follow the rules for...

Long distance with a 22 rimfire

Bill yes I have shot two matches at Lincoln County Rifle Club for years. One is usually in Feb at 100 yds, the other in March at 200 yd. The caliber, in a good rifle with ammo it likes and wind flags, is amazingly accurate depending on the wind. In the wind it is still accurate, but its the...

Why does the 30BR like heavy neck tension?

Al, I shot some N120 this past summer, 27 grains, just to see how it went. Was accurate but velocity was lower than I expected. I need to carefully try it again in 2021. I agree with you wholeheartedly about Randy and his capability to make lots of things work. He sent me some pics of his mule...

    Sightron 10-50 vs Nightforce 12-42

Yes 10 yrs ago or so. Nice to hear they have solved their problem. At the recent IBS 200/300 championship in Orangeburg, SC there was two 40X Leups in the VFS class and one Sightron. Nightforce was the predominant scope with a sprinkling of Marchs. Perhaps we are overlooking a diamond in the ruff?

    Sightron 10-50 vs Nightforce 12-42

The only Leupold I have had luck with from the point of maintaining POI and moving the impact point honestly is the VXIII-and the VXIIIi. The competition scopes I have had have all gone bad, most sooner than later. My experience with March, so far, has been great. A fellow I know said he had 3...

Francis I think one of the reasons he had trouble getting good contributors was his acerbic personality with regard to form and content, not to mention he would not accept electronic submissions.
