I believe he is saying watch the position of the tail ribbon to gauge the wind speed. As in the higher it rises the faster the wind is blowing.

What can anyone tell me about the chamber Remington used in the 40x? Im talking the older ones like 1959 range. Was it a match chamber?

Do you turn the necks before or after? Also would it matter if the barrel is a 6mm or 30cal?

As far as fireforming to expand the necks from 6mm to 30 has anyone done it with 1.510 chamber length? If so did you just trim the 6br brass to 1.500 before firing? Do you turn it first or afterwards? Have been thinking about getting a used barrel to have chambered with my reamer put on a old...

Looking to buy a set of bullet dies for making bullets for my 30br for score gun. Am debating 7 or 10 ogive. What is everyones opinion on this? The current barrel is a 17 twist, zero freebore. The reamer is bassed on the original Robinett print with the neck opened up to .331 Thanks

I don't believe Whidden makes bullet dies.

I waited too long as well. I was going to order some 30cal fb dies next month :( Are there any other quality die makers still making dies?

I like my proshot as it was the only one i could find with a small enough handle to clear the stock on my 40x. I thought about an Ivy but i dont believe they are made anymore. If i ever need another one ill seriously look at a holeshot.

Thank Al I appreciate you measuring it for me. That will give about .001 - .0015" neck tension on brass turned to .010" But wont size enough for someone turning to .009" . It will work for now for me to get my brass ready to fire and get it fired a few times then Ill send 3 pieces to...

Anyone have a set of Redding 30br dies model number 84524? Its a non bushing fl die, non bushing neck die and seater . Im wondering if anyone knows the neck dimensions of these dies? Thanks

That's a good suggestion but I very much doubt I will find an optometrist around here that knows anything about shooting.

Im taking a serious look at the Pillas or Ranger Edge. I see Re Ranger states they use Zeiss lenses as well.

Im currently not needing prescription . From what i understand the Ranger edge frames do have an adjustable bridge to adjust the lense height.

Which ones do you use? Ive looked at them and they are pricey. Ive also heard of fogging issues with the one pieces lenses where they tend to wrap around the side a bit more and prevent air flow. Do you have any issues with fogging?

Anyone got suggestions on good shooting glasses? Ive been looking at Decots with the adjustable bridge and Randolph Ranger Edges. I would be using them for trap shooting as well a benchrest. Thanks
