    long 6-48 grip screws

I treasure McMaster-Carr In the age of "everything imported", when you can't go downtown and buy a screw, nut, bolt or any other fastener that meets any sort of spec, McMaster carries *spec compliant* parts. (Where they state a spec.) I gladly pay the extra for quality fasteners from McM-C...

bbl maker of choice at 1000 yd nationals.....

Krieger is consistently in the #1 or #2 spot in several other long-range (1000yd) sports as well. (I think I've only seen them in #2 - behind Bartlein - at one major PRS match). GsT

    My new reamer

I switched to JGS... So far, they've been first-rate. I've been astonished with their speed every time I order. Never had a quality problem with PTG, but always felt like I was their lowest priority order... GsT

    ED's Red?

Equal parts acetone, Dexron, mineral spirits and Kerosene. Optionally, some lanolin. I've never used the lanolin. I used ER for years, but have slowly reduced the "formula" to where I just use mineral spirits for cleaning anymore (and WipeOut for other bore cleaning). ER might be a tiny bit...

    My new reamer

Which is why it's completely reasonable to expect that when someone says they'll have something done by a certain time, that it will be done at that time. Sure, you might excuse some exigencies, but some people have a habit of over-promising, and under-delivering. If you can't rely on them...

    scam "dealer" site

Not to be confused with Rainer Arms... Saw this and had to do a quick search. I've done business many times with "Ranier Arms" https://www.rainierarms.com/ and they've been great. Looks like someone riding on a name close to that of an established (and reputable) business. GsT

    Shilen hunting trigger rehab

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding... ...are you saying you want a trigger that you pull, partway, then let off of, and it doesn't go back to 'start'? I'm all about "the shooter is the ultimate safety", but that sounds like a recipe for disaster - but a great test of how well your mechanical safety...

Interapid 5.5" indicator stems are available now.

Not to be obstinate, but I can reach into the throat of a .223 or a .338 Lapua with the Mit and a 2" needle. What am I missing? GsT

    Chrome Moly vs Stainless steel

You! You posted a smart-aleck remark, and then worried that people would misconstrue it after the fact. Not criticizing, but that is exactly how it happened. GsT

Interapid 5.5" indicator stems are available now.

I'm curious... I would think so as well, but what cartridge needs a 5.5" reach? .50BMG is 5.5" *OAL*, and you can stick a thin indicator well inside the chamber! Also, I'm confused by the word "stem" which to me means the mounting end, not the indicating end. Not knocking it in any way...

    40x chamber?

This thread needs a definition of "match chamber" One man's "match chamber" (mostly meaningless term) is another's big, sloppy, hole. I know 40x will fire off-the-shelf ammo, so they're SAAMI min at the tightest. GsT

    Air gun enthusist

There's a lot of discussion about the Nomad II on airgun boards. My takeaway is that they're pretty likely to fail in a fairly short time frame. I have the 4500 water cooled unit, which has not yet failed, but they don't have the best reputation either. In my research it seems you can gamble...

    primers too

Works for me I've done it before and am fixin' to do it again. Seems to work fine in a hammer-fired pistol, and most factory guns. Stuff that's been tweaked with light springs or light firing pins may not work. Conventional wisdom is to reset your load development, but I saw negligible...

    Chrome Moly vs Stainless steel

The topic is too broad... "Stainless" and "Chrome Moly" are categories of steel and it makes little sense to compare the two without getting down to specific alloys. The alloys used for barrel making do seem more resistant to heat, but that doesn't explain the rampant use of stainless alloys...

    Air Force Talon air

You have options - not many of them are cheap... I pumped my AirForce gun for a while - it gives you time to consider how much you're willing to spend on a compressor... ;-) CO2 is out - I think there are adapters, but you won't get the performance you want - velocities will vary all over the...

    Texas Got Right

Arizona & Utah both have permits AND constitutional carry. The permit recognizes a few more liberties in AZ, I'm unsure about Utah (although I have a Utah permit). 42 out of 50 states now have "shall-issue" permit laws (where things are not left to the discretion of local LE & politicos) and...
