    2023 UBR 100/200 Nationals

After two... pics are slow loading for some reason..kinda randomly. But I think we'll get there. Great time and still a few clean so far. Squirreley conditions. Looks better than it is. Not sure why uploads are acting silly but I'll keep at it as best I can

    2023 UBR 100/200 Nationals

The UBR Nats begin tomorrow. Want to wish everyone safe travels both ways and good luck this weekend. I look forward to seeing everyone this afternoon. Somewhere around 100 guns registered. Not sure of the latest tally. I think there were a few late cancellations and maybe a few late entries...

Tenon length on a Nesika Model T action.

The TPE I think is .900 long, as are the Borden B and BR..and I think others. Is that what you found on your T? I think Borden has spacers to use a Panda bbl on it if that's the case. Just double check HS and tenon or call Jim. Might come in handy.

    WTB 220 Russian brass

I'm a "lapua snob". No question about it...but Al gave you good advice too, especially if you have a 268 or 269 chamber and can't find 220r brass. Give it a try .

    Good to see..

Good to see this place slowly but surely coming back to life. It's still the best BR related site there is. Lots of good and knowledgeable people on here. Lets keep it up. I kinda like the "hometown feel" around here. That other site is good too but it seems to have gone away from its roots a...

    6mm Grinch case capacity

Yes, 8208 is just hard to find right now. Hopefully it gets better but its been a while. It's at the top of my powder choices for it and the 80's. It'll shoot the 68's well too fwiw. And I think you're now in the right window with 133 and 68's. You might go up a tad depending on your bbl and...

    6mm Grinch case capacity

That's stepping on the gas pretty good in a straight Grendel and there's not much difference between it and a Grinch...fwiw. Is your brass holding up well up there? I run about the same 8208xbr load with 80's and brass life is what I'd call fair. Accuracy is up there with anything, though.

Does cleaning brass cases help accuracy?

My brass is usually amongst the dirtiest at the match. Lol! Seriously though, I prefer a little carbon be left in the neck vs very clean. I once cross sectioned the chamber area of an old 222 with a boat load of rounds down it. You could very clearly see where the neck area of the chamber was...

Anderson Creek 100 yd UBR Results

Thanks Jeff! I was just wondering. The creedmore rule is certainly a less than perfect system, isn't it. As long as you're having fun, that's what matters. Glad you're doing it and enjoying the format.

Anderson Creek 100 yd UBR Results

Do you use the Creedmoor rule for tiebreaking at your matches? Congrats to the winners either way but I believe that is the way ties are broken in ubr. Can't use Wipeouts due to different dot sizes per calibers. But after that, yes, a match can potentially end in a tie. Just asking. If not...

    6mm Grinch case capacity

FWIW, I am using 30.6gr of n133 and a 68 gr fb bullet in a straight 6 Grendel. Shoots tiny and no pressure signs at all in my rifle. It's a little below the case mouth without a drop tube, dumping charges straight from the powder measure. You should have a tad more capacity in that Grinch. Maybe...

    neck clearance

I think most are using that .002ish TOTAL. So, a .260 loaded in a .262 chamber.

How to „Glue in“ an action?

Rough the existing bedding up good..AND the action!!..and don't induce stress while the JB cures. That's pretty much it from where you are. A course sandblast or just a dremel tool for roughing the action below the stock line works. Frankly though, if you've got pillars already, I'd be very...

    Ungluing a Glue-in

...and you've done this? I only ask because I've tried and it did not work for me..but you've. If you say it worked, that's good enough for me but it did not for me. I only tried once and I don't know or remember the adhesive used on it..so can't say it won't work on some, just that it didn't...

    Ungluing a Glue-in

Most of us use a clothes iron on top of the action. The new irons work, IME, but don't get as hot as the older ones. Faster is better IMHO. You might try ebay or a yard sale shop for an older iron.

    6mm Grinch case capacity

A 6 Grendel is essentially a .070 long 6 ppc and holds a bit more powder than the ppc. A grinch is a Grendel with the shoulder blown out from 30 to 40 degrees, adding a tad more capacity still. I say all that to say this..the loads you plan to test are light to moderate in a ppc. Lapua Grendel...
